Kristen Rønnevik

ARTISTIC PRACTICE: interdisciplinary, circular, relational, process-oriented and site-specific projects, installation, text and performance WORKING METHODS: site-specific, circular, contextual, theme- and idea-based. VISION: Environment and landscape-awareness, in hand and spirit OBJECTIVE: To create a new understanding of the landscape in which we live, by arranging and creating social situations. With a view to becoming and being a wholeheartedly good and responsible friend with nature and the environment. Rønnevik works to create social encounters and arenas between people, nature and urban landscapes. The basic idea is that; nature and its ecology is the teacher, but the city is both the garden, the canvas and the stage where Kristen Rønnevik unfolds her artistic work. Rønnevik wants to stimulate insight and contact between people, the city, local nature, coastal nature and surroundings. Participation, interaction and dialogue are a recurring element in his art. In the social arenas he creates, is the goal is to enable situations where a sensual and attentive contact with the surroundings can occur.
