Thursday 6th September from 19:00 It`s Personal invites you to an evening of performance in and around HardingarT's premises in Utne. Associated with art, the right to freedom of expression is crucial, because the artists in our group are the national frameworks related to freedom of expression somewhat different. In our project so far we have had rich discussions about censorship and self-censorship, human rights and feminism, environmental and social involvement, areas closely linked to the individual artist's interest.
It's Personal is a performance art project that brings together eight artists from Thailand and Norway to collaborate with and around themes related to the personal and identity with the use of performance art as a platform.
It's Personal was initiated by the performance artist Pavana Reid in 2016 as an effort to connect to her Thai heritage. Pavana Reid believes that our various personal issues are parts of a large and important issue in our society. She uses the theme “It’s Personal” to bring artists together in order to look at differences and common ground between the two cultures. The project emphasizing issues relating to subjectivity.
