PAB OPEN - VILLA TERMINUS - BERGEN - NORWAY
October 4 – 6 October 2024
PAB is seeking performances from regional, national, and international artists for the sixth edition of the PAB OPEN 2024 festival. The festival holds a low-threshold offer that allows the artists to explore and test new performative expressions. The festival will be held at the historic Hotel Villa Terminus. PAB has 18 hotel rooms available where the artists in the performance program will both stay and perform in the assigned rooms. Additionally, PAB has booked the entire building with living rooms, kitchens, a library, a private garden, and hotel rooms.
Applicants are encouraged to focus on long-duration performances lasting a minimum of 1 hour that can be performed over both days,or short performances repeated throughout the days. Solo or duo performances are welcome.
Due to the amount of performances happening at the same time, please let us know if you wish to use audio or similar elements in your performance. This is so we can fit it into the program without disturbing other performances. The rooms in the hotel are small, therefore it is recommended to not use amplification of sounds. We can unfortunately not offer any technical support or equipment. We kindly ask all artists to be self-reliant due to the size of the event.
What does PAB offer:
- The artists stay at the hotel from Friday 4 October - Sunday 6 October. 2024.
- It is possible to sleep at the hotel until Monday 7 October.
- The artists spend the night in a hotel room they are allocated and perform during the day in the same hotel room.
- Breakfast in the hotel's common area together with the other participating artists.
- Dinner on Saturday, October 5th where we gather all participating artists.
- Be a participant in the interactive seminar on Friday 4 October.

PAB will be able to offer a small fee of 1000 NOK (around 97 EUR) at the present time. We are applying for funding to be able to offer more. PAB encourages artists to apply for individual travel and project grants. PAB will send an invitation letter if needed for applications.
