Performance Camp Finse PAB/PAO
26. – 28. august 2022
NOTE: Registration will be first come first served due to capacity at Finsehytta.
Performance Camp PAO/PAB Finse will be arranged the weekend August 26.-28.
A performance camp where performance artists associated with PAO and PAB are invited to perform, walk, meet, talk and have a joint dinner. The Performances will be presented Saturday 27 August, where we walk together as a group and present performances one after the other, followed by dinner. The performance camp is at Finse, a train stop on Bergensbanen train on the mountain between the two cities Bergen and Oslo. (You can not get there by car) Finse has a unique mountain landscape and is a protected area, so the premise is to work with the landscape and leave no trace in nature. At all the Finse performance camps there have been professional photographers who have taken documentation of the performances in this amazing landscape. This year's photographer is Bjarte Bjørkum.
As participating artist you get:
- Accommodation at Finsehytta Friday 26. aug. to Sunday 28 Aug. in 4 or 6 person rooms
with participating artists.
- The stay is with full board at the Finsehytta, breakfast and 3 course dinner on Saturday.
- Documentation by a professional photographer.
- For artists who want to have a longer stay and sleep at Finse more than 26-28 aug. It's possible to sleep in a tent on the south side of Finse. Or if you are going to book longer stays at Finsehytta, contact them. Unfortunately, the event does not have the opportunity to cover extra days.
For artists / audiences in Bergen, it is also possible to participate as a day trip. Take the morning train from Bergen and the train from Finse back in the evening on Saturday 27 August.
Note that travel & materials must be covered by the artist.
- There are still cheap tickets on the train, so book as soon as you have received confirmation of participation.
- As the budget for the performance camp is not high, there is no fee / material budget. The organizer encourages the performer to take into account nature in the choice of materials.
