Trine Lyngsholm

Trine Lyngsholm is based in London, UK. Lyngsholm graduated with a BA in Applied Arts Ceramics from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design (2014) and an MA in Fine Art from Royal College of Art (2018). Lyngsholm has exhibited in places such as Trapholt – Museum of modern Art, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Chiswick House & Gardens, Starptelpa - Riga Performance Festival and Swedenborg Film Festival. Lyngsholm mainly works with sculpture, performance and film, and Lyngsholm’s practice explores how the haptic qualities of material and the movement of the body can evoke sensations that are at once pleasurable and uncanny. These encounters operate as points of disruption, compelling a reconsideration of the moment itself and the fragile boundaries between consciousness, sensation, and embodied memory. Working through immediacy and a resistance to the established, Trine Lyngsholm explores mobilisation of materials that resonate with somatic and emotional registers, situating their practice within the unstable terrain between the known and the unknown. Through this process, Lyngsholm intends to cultivate a dialogue that intertwines embodied memory with intellectual reflection, positioning the work as both an inquiry and an experience—where the visceral becomes a strategy for questioning the conditions of perception and the material body. https://trinelyngsholm.dk/
