Tina Mariane Krogh Madsen (DK) is an artist and researcher who works between performance art, sound, open technology and matter, in a mode of practising and collaborating with philosophy and nonhuman agency. Madsen is a Doctor of Arts in artistic research from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture (FI), with the thesis The Intensity of Matter: The Inhuman Affects of Geological Performance which uncovered how ethico-aesthetic modes of relation are crucial in the discussion of contemporary urgencies with a focus on the geological. Madsen has further studied art education at the College of Arts, Crafts, and Design (DK), and holds a MA in Art History from Aarhus University (DK). Madsen has performed and presented their work internationally in many formats and contexts, and is the founder of performance protocols, a nomadic platform for instruction-based art and collaborative processes.
